Founder & CEO
“I founded buddhabooth to create spaces where anyone can find a moment of peace and mindfulness, no matter where they are.”
A trailblazer in experiential wellness, creating transformative spaces for healing and resilience.
Francine Steadman is the visionary founder and CEO of Portable Meditation, Inc., a multifaceted wellness enterprise established in 2015. Renowned as an innovative lifestyle expert, she pioneered the creation of BuddhaBooth®—portable relaxation spaces—inspired by a transformative moment of clarity amid sensory overload and burnout.
Her company has since expanded to offer holistic wellness solutions, including experiential sensory rooms, mindful digital content, self-care workshops (RestShops), meditation programs, and strategic partnerships like the 2020 launch of MyndSet with Calm City NYC—a mindfulness toolkit created to support essential workers during the pandemic.
Operating primarily in the education and healthcare sectors, Francine collaborates with institutional leaders to deliver tailored, stress-reducing wellness programs. As a founding member of the Centre for Social Innovation's Women's Lab and a Conscious Capitalism board partner, she has embedded purpose into profit, supporting survivors of domestic violence, students with special needs, and marginalized communities through meditation, yoga, reiki, and holistic therapies.
Beyond her professional achievements, Francine's greatest joy lies in her role as a mother to three adult children and grandmother to a beloved grandson. She infuses her family life with the same mindfulness and vitality that define her work, striving to inspire holistic well-being in every sphere.
